The Yirga Geren project provides a sustainable irrigation system for 75 hectares using gravity-fed water from the upstream part of the river. The design includes 650 meters of main canal, 1,560 meters of secondary canals, 2,350 meters of tertiary canals and associated drainage and river training works.
The Gocho includes the design of a gravity fed irrigation system for 125 hectares featuring 2,350 meters of main canals 460 meters of secondary canals and 4,200 meters of tertiary canals. Additionally, the design incorporated drainage systems, river training works, and supporting farm infrastructure including culverts and footpath crossings.
